Great we are seeing more certifications on food supplies.  As consumers we try to make healthy, humane choices, but the choices are dizzying and we lack full knowledge.

This is an important shift for mankind.  The idea of ethical farming is expansive--use of pesticides, water, energy, preservation of land, obviously treatment of animals foster a balanced economic/environmental agricultural system for feeding the world.  Our health, the health of the planet and, we believe, the finanical health of farmers all improve and sustain long-term with the adoption of sound practices.
