Save the Date: Rhode Island Premier of Ocean Frontiers‏

We are very happy to promote this RI event and premier of "Ocean Frontiers".  Looks like a great movie and night out:

"Please join us on Wednesday, April 4th for the Rhode Island premier of the new film “Ocean Frontiers, The Dawn of a New Era of Ocean Stewardship” at The URI Graduate School of Oceanography Coastal Institute Auditorium at the Bay Campus.

We are very pleased to be joined by Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse as our Honorary Host for the event. Sen. Whitehouse will be present to make some introductory remarks.

Event sponsors to date include the University of Rhode Island, Roger Williams University, Conservation Law Foundation, Deepwater Wind, ECRI, Save the Bay, the Sierra Club Rhode Island Chapter and others.

Ocean Frontiers takes us on an inspiring voyage to seaports and watersheds across the country to meet unlikely allies: industrial shippers and whale biologists, pig farmers and wetland ecologists, sport fishermen, reef snorkelers and many more. All of these individuals have embarked on a new course of collaboration to improve management of the sea that sustains us. To learn more about the film please visit www.ocean-frontiers.org

A reception will begin at 6:30pm and the program will start at 7:00pm. A 30 minute panel discussion will follow the film screening where experts involved in Rhode Island’s Special Area Management Plan will discuss New England’s leadership in the development of the future of improved coastal conservation and  science based approach to managing our ocean resources.

The event is free and open to the public but space is limited. Please RSVP to Winston Vaughan at wvaughan@clf.org"
