HOW DO WE ENERGIZE THE ECONOMY AND PUT THOUSANDS MORE AMERICANS TO WORK?

We thought you'd be interested in looking at this from Climate Realty:

Just look up.
This summer, the EPA proposed the details for a program known as the Clean Energy Incentive Program (CEIP), which encourages states to invest in clean energy and energy efficiency technologies as part of the final Clean Power Plan (CPP). With the CEIP, the EPA will give states one emissions rate credit (which counts towards the state’s CPP compliance) for electricity generated from wind, solar, and other renewable energy projects, and two emissions rate credits for solar projects and electricity saved from energy efficiency projects in low-income communities.
And while the CPP is currently pending judicial review, the EPA is nevertheless moving ahead with the CEIP and giving Americans an important opportunity toweigh in on its design.
The bottom line is that the CEIP encourages states to replace dirty fossil fuel energy with solar, wind, and energy efficiency. The program also helps grow a booming clean energy sector that already employs hundreds of thousands of Americans, creating even more dependable, sustainable jobs.
The benefits don’t end there. The CEIP also helps states use the energy they generate in smarter and more efficient ways, such as by promoting energy efficiency projects in low-income communities. And when we use less energy each day, we not only cut down on the dangerous emissions devastating the health of our communities and driving climate change, we save money too.
What can you do to help? Right now, the EPA is asking Americans to give their perspectives on the program – so add your name today to tell the EPA that you support the CEIP.
